Each January an enthusiastic group of about 40 scouts and many parent volunteers collect over 1000 trees, weighing in at over 15 tons!! The trees are taken to the Pleasanton Garbage Service transfer station where they are mulched for reuse by the community. Funds raised by the project are used by the members of the troop to pay for camping equipment and scouting activities such as our annual summer camp at Wente Scout Reservation and for weekend outings.
