Citizens Police Academy Offered In Pleasanton
The 15-week Citizens Police Academy provides information on Pleasanton PD inner workings — as well as safety tips.
PLEASANTON, CA — Residents interested in learning more about the Pleasanton Police Department have the opportunity to sign up for a 15-week Citizens Police Academy that provides information on the agency — as well as tips on how to stay safe and informed.
The program that begins Jan. 23, 2020 offers information on what officers do on patrol, how dispatchers play a valuable role in daily operations, and what it's like to be part of specialized units like K-9 and SWAT.
The classes will be held Thursday nights, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be Pleasanton residents, and pass a background check.

Class size is limited and always fills up quickly, but applications are still being accepted. Applications are available at the Pleasanton Police Department, 4833 Bernal Ave. or at www.pleasantonpd.org.
