Community Milling Day at The Olivina

Community Milling Day on Nov. 13 was a chance to bring your own olives, enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Spirits were high Nov. 13 at Community Milling Day at The Olivina in Livermore, where people were able to bring their own olives for milling and enjoy world-class olive oil at the end of it.

Unfortunately this season has been tough for the olive industry because of the weather and insects. Many did not have any olives, which apparently included many of the home owners and other olive tree owners that would have normally brought olives.

In brighter news, harvest season is over for Olivina, with olives off the trees and olive oil tucked safely away into tanks. Some milling is yet to be done for other olive growers before they close up the olive mill for the year. So stay tuned for new happenings about the amazing products Olivina produces.
