Coroner IDs Driver Killed In I-680 Crash
The collision prompted the California Highway Patrol to issue a Sig-alert several hours Sunday.

PLEASANTON, CA — Officials with the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau have identified a driver who died in a collision reported on Interstate 680 and the Stoneridge Drive off-ramp late Sunday morning. Pleasanton resident Clifton Wood, 66, was killed just when the car he was in reportedly went down an embankment and landed on its roof after 11 a.m.. Wood was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision prompted the California Highway Patrol to issue a Sig-alert closing the Stoneridge Drive off-ramp for several hours. No other information about the crash is available.
