Victim In Fatal Pleasanton Crash Identified By Coroner
His car was discovered Friday morning after the sun rose, about 20 to 30 feet from Sunol Road.
PLEASANTON, CA — The Alameda County Coroner's Office has identified the man found dead in a single-vehicle crash south of Pleasanton as David Davis, 55, of Salida.
CHP found his 2014 Volkswagen Jetta Friday morning around 8:15 a.m. with damage to its front end and roof about 20 or 30 feet from the road. He was found in the area of Sunol Road and Castlewood Drive, west of I-680.
The engine was cold by the time CHP arrived. A commuter spotted the car after the sun rose.
