Darling Ducklings Rescued By Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters

The anxious mother duck stayed nearby until she was reunited with her brood.

PLEASANTON, CA — Eight darling ducklings run amok were rescued Tuesday after they ended up in a Pleasanton storm drain, fire officials said via social media. Livermore-Pleasanton firefighters from Engine 91 saved the ducklings from the drain and reunited them with their anxious mother.

Firefighters from all over have been busy with Bay Area animal rescues over the last several months.

Last week, firefighters in Vacaville responded to a call to help rescue a dog that was stuck in a dryer vent hole. After arriving, they found a year-old puppy who was in the process of learning a tough lesson about literally sticking your nose where it doesn't belong.
