Detectives Recover $9,000 Bicycle Stolen From Pleasanton Mike's Bikes: Police

Police credit alert witnesses with the license plate information that eventually led to the recovery of the bike and an arrest.

PLEASANTON, CA — While conducting a search warrant in Concord this week, detectives recently recovered a $9,000 bicycle, which was allegedly stolen from the Pleasanton Mike's Bikes last month. Police credit alert witnesses with the license plate information that eventually led to the recovery of the bike and arrest of Billy Ray Durflinger, 38, in connection with the December bicycle theft.

“After reviewing in-store video and speaking with witnesses who were able to get the fleeing car's license plate number, Pleasanton detectives identified 38-year-old Billy Ray Durflinger as the suspect,” police said via social media.

On Jan. 19, police arrested Durflinger on suspicion of theft. Police said Durflinger also had a drug-related warrant.
