Did You See The Double Rainbow Over Pleasanton?
There's more to these rainbows than meets the eye.

PLEASANTON, CA — Seeing double is not always a bad thing. In this case, we captured a double rainbow on camera in between the Thursday morning showers. Many residents reported seeing double rainbows throughout Tri-Valley. No reports have been made whether or not there were two pots of gold at the end of those rainbows...
What causes a double rainbow? The two rainbows appear "when refracted light does not escape the raindrop after being reflected the first time," according to weather.com.
The first rainbow is considered the "primary rainbow" and the secondary displays the reverse colors of the primary rainbow due to the unique refraction.
