PLEASANTON, CA — Perhaps it's a metaphor for something? The bald eagle, the official bird of the United States, was attacked by a hawk atop a tree on Mohr Avenue in Pleasanton.
According to photographer Abhijit Shetti, the eagle fought the hawk for over an hour, but eventually gave up and flew east to another perch.
Eagles are generally larger and stronger than hawks, but that clearly wasn't stopping this hawk.
