PLEASANTON, CA — A man wanted on multiple felony warrants fled Pleasanton police Friday evening and eluded an extensive search involving aircraft and K-9 units, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.

At approximately 5:38 p.m. Friday, Pleasanton police received a Flock alert for a vehicle associated with a person wanted on felony warrants, according to PPD Captain Kurt Schlehuber. Officers located the vehicle, which they say was identified by the Campbell Police Department in connection with an earlier investigation, and was subject to a 30-day impound.

Officers found the unoccupied vehicle in a local hotel parking lot, and linked it to an adult male wanted on multiple warrants, including felony warrants from California and out of state. As officers worked to confirm the individual’s identity and lodging information, the suspect entered the vehicle and fled, despite officer commands to stop.
