Fire Causes $150K Worth Of Damage To Ruby Hill Home
A firefighter was injured while battling the blaze.

PLEASANTON, CA — A firefighter was injured while fighting a fire that started under a bathtub inside a Ruby Hill home Monday night, fire officials said. The residents of a home on Forenza Court noticed smoke coming from the bathtub area and called 911 just before 8 p.m.
Livermore-Pleasanton Fire crews responded and discovered that the flames had spread under the floor of the bathroom. Firefighters had to remove the tile flooring to extinguish the blaze.
The residents escaped without injury and one firefighter was injured while working inside the home. Fire officials estimate the damage to the bathroom and surrounding area at about $150,000.

"It is important to remember to have working smoke detectors in your residence and to check them on a yearly basis," fire officials said.
