Pleasanton Home 'Uninhabitable' Following Monday Morning Fire

A garage fire spread to the living quarters of a Pleasant Hill Road home early Monday morning.

PLEASANTON, CA — A Pleasanton home is now "uninhabitable" following an extensive garage fire Monday morning, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department said.

The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department was called to a single-family residence on the 5200 block of Pleasant Hill Road at about 4:20 a.m. Monday, the LPFD said in a news release. When crews arrived, they found that a garage fire had extended into the living quarters.

Two trucks, four engines, and two battalion chiefs from the LPFD, the Pleasanton Police Department, the Alameda County Fire Department, PG&E, and the American Red Cross all arrived on the scene. The fire was contained within 30 minutes of the arrival of the first unit, LPFD said.

The department said the home suffered "extensive smoke and fire damage," and has been deemed uninhabitable by the Pleasanton Building Department.
