First Annual TRYathalon Event Hosted by Valley Children’s Museum

Sunday, October 20 at Emerald Glen Park

Dublin, CA— Registration is open for the first annual Tryathalon event for children and families. This event is a fundraiser for Valley Children’s Museum and playfully mimics a real triathlon event with a running, biking and water activity. The non-competitive event allows children, along with a parent or adult chaperone, to try their best at their choice of a ½ mile or 1 mile running and biking course. Bicycles, tricycles, scooter, strollers and pulling a wagon are all allowed on the wheels course. Instead of a swim, children will participate in the Rain Gutter Regatta and will build a miniature sailboat and use their energy to get the sailboat across the water course. Every child will receive a participant ribbon and a souvenir water bottle. Children may take a photo with their ribbon on the award stand.

Registration for each pair of child/adult is $30. An additional child or adult can be added to the team for $10. A team cannot exceed 3 people. This event is designed for children ages 3-12 and the parent/adult guardian must accompany the child through all the activities. Take advantage of the early-bird registration price of $25 if registration is completed by October 15.
