Foothill High Graduate, U.S. Army Solider Welcomed Home to Tri-Valley

Sergeant First Class Shannon Pervere was welcomed home in April.

A Tri-Valley man was recently welcomed home as hero following almost 20 years of service in the U.S. Army. Sergeant First Class Shannon Pervere returned to Livermore in April, according to Pat Frizzell, Chairwoman of the Pleasanton Military Families support group.

Warriors Watch Riders escorted Pervere home, where he was greeted by California State Assemblywoman Catharine Baker, Livermore Mayor John Marchand, along with friends, family and community members. Pervere and his mother, Faith, have been members of the Pleasanton Military Families group since 2003. Pervere, who has been has been deployed multiple times, has served since his enlistment in 1997 and has garnered numerous awards during his years of service.

Pervere, a Foothill High graduate, is returning from the police academy and will be employed with the Federal Police Department of Veterans. He is married with one child.
