Marcel Baker has served at the high school for two years.

PLEASANTON, CA — After two years of serving the school, Foothill High School Vice Principal Marcel Baker announced that he will be leaving his post to take over as the principal at Natomas Middle School in Sacramento, according to a school newsletter sent to parents.

Before moving to Foothill High, the former commercial banker was the vice principal at Hart Middle School and assistant principal of an Oakland middle school. Students and parents said they will miss having Baker on campus.

The school district has not been reached to comment about Baker’s departure or the process of finding his replacement.
