The Fray To Play 2024 Alameda County Fair
The famed band behind "Over My Head" and "How to Save a Life" are coming to Pleasanton in June.
PLEASANTON, CA â Denver-based rock band The Fray will play the Alameda County Fair June 27, joining a growing list of high-profile performers.
The band formed in 2002 and achieved mainstream success in 2005-06 when their hits âOver My Head (Cable Carâ) and âHow To Save A Lifeâ went platinum all over the globe. Both songs were nominated for Grammy Awards in Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group. Their second album âThe Frayâ also went platinum in the U.S., and won a 2010 Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.
The Fray will join Bay Area rapper E-40, celebrated country and R&B singer Hunter Hayes, and âTwist on Taylor,â an ensemble with a live band, dancers, and a Taylor Swift lookalike singing the pop legendâs songs.

Concerts will run from June 14 to July 7, and 20 more performers will be named in the coming months. Last summer, stars like Ashanti, LeAnn Rimes, and Jesse McCartney all played.
