Friday Night Lights Shine On New Foothill HS Athletic Field
Friday's game against Heritage High will mark the first of the season on the new turf.
PLEASANTON, CA — The Foothill High School Athletic Field is greener and the goal lines are brighter now that a new synthetic turf soccer/football surface has been installed. There are upgrades to the facility as well, and all of this will be celebrated Friday before the Falcons first home game kickoff.
At 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 30, the community is invited to watch a brief ribbon cutting ceremony that will laud the new look and pay tribute to the Foothill Athletic Boosters and Falcon community for their support, as well as the City of Pleasanton for its collaboration in allowing the Falcons to use Patelco fields for practice during the recent install.
The new field and facility were paid for using private and public funds; construction on the project started in July.
