Gunfire Exchanged On 580 In Pleasanton; Victim's Car Struck

A woman's car was hit by two cars exchanging gunfire late Friday night. No injuries were reported.

PLEASANTON, CA — Gunfire was exchanged between two cars late Friday night on eastbound I-580 in Pleasanton, according to the California Highway Patrol. A victim’s car was struck, but no injuries were reported, CHP Officer Tyler Hahn told Patch.

At around 11 p.m. Friday, a black Infiniti and a silver Honda were shooting at each other in a possible road rage incident, according to witness testimony. The victim told CHP officers that she heard “multiple gunshots” before her car was struck on the driver-side passenger door. She left the freeway and observed a bullet hole in her car, but did not call 911 until 9:30 a.m. Saturday, according to Hahn.

The suspects' vehicles have not been identified, Hahn said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Dublin CHP office at 925-828-0466.
