Gunshots, Shell Casings Lead To Shelter-In-Place In Pleasanton
The Civic Square Apartments were on lockdown Saturday after police found shell casings in the area. No victims were reported.

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police are investigating the discovery of shell casings at the Civic Square Apartments on Bernal Avenue Saturday morning, Pleasanton Weekly reports.
At 9:45 a.m. Saturday, the Pleasanton Police Department received multiple reports of gunshots in the 4800 block of Bernal Avenue, PPD spokesperson Teri Yan told Pleasanton Weekly. Officers found shell casings, but no victims. The department instituted a shelter-in-place advisory for the complex that lasted about an hour.
An onlooker reported on Patch that they saw a SAT team, several police officers, an ambulance, and a fire truck, and heard loud bangs. They also reported receiving an alert to shelter in place for about 45 minutes.

Witnesses told police they saw someone flee the area in a car, which officers tracked, Yan said. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday, and the investigation is ongoing.
