High School Students Injured After Glass Bottle Bursts on Campus

Investigators are trying to determine if the incident was intentional or accidental.

Two students were injured this morning after a small glass bottle burst near the quad area at Amador Valley High School, police officials said.

According to a statement released by police, Amador Valley High staff notified the Pleasanton Police Department of a suspicious incident that occurred on campus at about 10:05 a.m. Responding officers learned that the students had sustained minor injuries as a result of a small glass bottle bursting near the quad area on campus. Police did not say if the injured students were released to their parents or taken to the hospital for treatment. The student’s ages were not immediately available.

Investigators are working to determine if this incident was an accident or the result of somebody purposely discharging a “dry ice” or similar type of device.
