I-680 Lanes Briefly Blocked for Helicopter to Transport Injured Driver in Sunol
The driver was airlifted to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley for minor injuries, CHP officials said.

All northbound lanes of Interstate Highway 680 in Sunol were briefly blocked this evening for a helicopter to land and transport a person injured in an accident, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers responded to a report of a car that overturned on right-hand shoulder of northbound Highway 680 near the Koopman Road on-ramp around 6:15 p.m., CHP officials said. The male driver was trapped and emergency crews extricated him the vehicle, CHP Officer Damien Cistaro said. The driver was airlifted to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley for minor injuries, Cistaro said.
A Sig-alert was issued at 6:57 p.m. closing all northbound lanes that reopened nearly 10 minutes later, according to the CHP. CHP officials said traffic is still heavy on northbound Highway 680 from Fremont.
