Impeachment Rallies Scheduled In Santa Cruz, Watsonville

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Rallies calling on the impeachment and removal from office of President Donald Trump are scheduled Tuesday in Santa Cruz and Watsonville, with more than 300 hundred participants already signed up.

The "Impeach and Remove" events are slated for 5:30 p.m. at Santa Cruz's Town Clock (downtown) and the Watsonville City Plaza (358 Main St.).

The rallies coincide with efforts by Moveon.org, which is hosting hundreds of nationwide "Nobody Is Above The Law" events Tuesday. The events are expected to be "visible, family-friendly, public gatherings to demonstrate to our lawmakers that their constituents are behind them to defend the Constitution—and that Trump has left them no alternative to uphold their oath of office but to support impeachment and removal," according to Moveon.org.

A House impeachment vote is expected in the coming days.
