Juanita Haugen Scholarship Fund receives big boost

"THANK YOU" to the many who supported the very successful Juanita Haugen Scholarship BBQ / Fundraiser. Over $15,000 was raised, which will be added to the fund which provides scholarships for PUSD students. This amount was triple last year’s fundraiser.

We express appreciation to those who contributed auction items, those who attended and bid on those items, and those who couldn’t attend, but donated anyway. Thanks to Rusty Vinyl, who supported the event by donating their beautiful music. We Thank You ALL!

The Juanita Haugen Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated the Community of Character values of Responsibility, Compassion, Self-Discipline, Honesty, Respect, and Integrity, as well as demonstrating their service to their community, school and family.

For the class of 2023, five $1,000 scholarships were awarded to seniors from Foothill, Amador Valley and Village High Schools.

Because board members donated all the costs of the BBQ, 100% of all donations will go into our scholarship fund for PUSD students.
