it is my true story of bonding with Dr Maya Angelou, through mutual suffering and beautiful words, after reading I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, in my youth, and then, continuing throughout my adult life, to seek out her wisdom through her books, poems, TV appearances and presentations.  Chasing after the elusive autograph and picture...  Featured poems include, Phenomenal Woman, Still I Rise, and On The Pulse of the Morning.  And, my response poem to On The Pulse of the Morning, "That's One Slippery Rock"
