Las Positas Water Polo To Host Ohlone in 'Sophomore Game'
Hawks, who have opened eyes across the state with strong season, set for conference home finale

After splitting four games at the Cuesta College tournament this past week, the Las Positas College men’s water polo team will host Ohlone at 3 p.m. today in the Coast Conference — the Hawks’ final home conference contest of the season.
In today’s “Sophomore Game,” Las Positas will recognize its second-year athletes who are completing their eligibility at LPC.
The sophomores being recognized are Steve Ragatz, Quentin Perry, Zach Perry, Ross Brown, Kyle Young, Cade Venables, Sean Mendez, and Jacob Fogelstrom.

Down south, the Hawks notched victories over La Hondo and Ventura.
Las Positas (15-10, 2-0) enters today’s action one-half game behind West Valley (21-1, 3-0), ranked No. 1 in the State, but Ohlone (8-3, 1-1) is only one game behind the Hawks, so this game has major ramifications in the standings. Las Positas will travel to West Valley on Oct. 26.

Las Positas has surged this season and is recognized in the “others” category in the CCCWPCA State rankings, just outside the top 10.
