
The Las Positas College women’s soccer team enjoyed a big week with wins over Hartnell and Chabot by a combined 7-1.
The Hawks are riding a six-game unbeaten streak, including winning the last three in a row.
In a 3-1 win over Hartnell on Tuesday, Irie O’Donnell scored the first goal in the seventh minute to get things rolling.
In a 4-0 triumph over Chabot on Thursday, Yohanna Gizaw had assists on the Hawks' first three goals, and Kaitlyn Lemus scored twice. Nadia Barron Santiago and Alyssa Fitting scored in the first half, both off Gizaw assists, and Lemus scored off a Gizaw assist to make it 3-0 in the 55th minute. Lemus rounded out scoring unassisted 10 minutes later.
Las Positas (7-2-5, 3-0-2) remains in firm title contention in the Coast-North Conference, with a big game against Skyline (9-0-1, 4-0-0) on Tuesday in Livermore. Kickoff is 7 p.m. The Hawks also host Foothill at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19.
Against Hartnell, Barron Santiago and Kimberly Granados both had a goal and an assist.
