Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters Sent to Battle Little Valley Fire
The firefighters will be joining hundreds of others to assist with the blaze.
CARSON CITY, NEVADA— Eight firefighters from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department were sent to help with the firefighting efforts in Washoe County, fire officials said.
The strike team left the Tri-Valley on Friday to help with the blaze, which started Thursday. The fire has burned 2000 acres so far and is at zero percent containment, according to Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District Twitter. The firefighters will join 300 firefighters, including personnel from Cal Fire, to assist with the blaze.
The team is bringing an OES fire truck and an off road fire engine.
