Livermore Schools Enrolling For Fall 2020

From Livermore Schools: Parents and guardians are invited to register students for the 2020-21 school year during the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District’s (LVJUSD) Open Enrollment and Transfer Period, now through March 1. Parents with students who will be new to the District and will be entering TK through grade 5 should plan to register at the annual LVJUSD Kindergarten and Elementary Registration Fair on Wednesday, February 19 or Thursday, February 20.

Students entering middle school or high school in fall 2020 should visit the District website to begin the new student registration process or begin the school transfer request process online: www.livermoreschools.org/enrollment.

The Kindergarten and Elementary Registration Fair will be held in the Cresta Blanca Room at the Robert Livermore Community Center, 4444 East Avenue from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm on February 19, and from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm on February 20.

Parents and guardians can choose to attend either date. All LVJUSD elementary and K-8 schools will be represented. Principals from each school site will be on hand to welcome parents/guardians, answer questions, and help with the registration process for fall 2020.

In addition to completing registration, families will have the opportunity to speak with LVJUSD nurses about immunizations, allergies, and other health concerns. The Child Nutrition Department will share information about the school lunch program. Representatives of the Special Education Department will be available to answer questions.
Families will also learn about additional resources available to them, including Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) before- and after-school daycare programs, the Livermore Public Library, the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center (LVPAC), and the Livermore Special Needs Parent Group.

Parents and guardians are highly encouraged to attend one of four informational meetings to learn about the registration process and what to bring to the fair. Each meeting takes place from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. in the Multipurpose Room of neighborhood schools on the following dates:

• Tuesday, January 21, Joe Michell K-8, 1001 Elaine Ave
• Thursday, January 23, Croce Elementary, 5650 Scenic Ave
• Monday, January 27, Junction K-8, 298 Junction Ave
• Wednesday, January 29, Jackson Avenue Elementary, 554 Jackson Ave

LVJUSD Director of Student Services, Scott Vernoy, will lead the informational meetings and be available to answer any questions. “We are excited to meet new students and welcome new families to our district,” said Vernoy.
