Man Suspected Of Swiping $8,400 Bike During Test Ride Caught On Camera, Police Say

BREAKING: Do you know this man? Police say he took a very expensive bike from Mike's Bikes in Pleasanton.

PLEASANTON, CA — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who allegedly asked to take a new $8,400 bicycle on a test ride from Mike’s Bikes in Pleasanton on Monday but never returned.

“The pictured male suspect entered Mike’s Bikes and asked if he could ride a 2018 Santa Cruz Nomad bicycle outside,” police said. “The employee agreed and once outside, the suspect rode off on the bicycle and never returned.”

Police said the victim described the suspect as aMiddle Eastern man in his 20s. The blue and tan bicycle is a Santa Cruz Nomad valued at $8,400. Police said the last four numbers of the serial number are 0282.
