Meet Walnut Grove Elementary's New Principal

Chris Connor has served as Interim Principal since January 2016 and will begin his new role next school year.

PLEASANTON, CA: The Pleasanton Unified School District is proud to announce Chris Connor as the next Principal of Walnut Grove Elementary School. Connor has served the school as Interim Principal since January 2016 and will formally begin as principal on July 1.

“During his time at Walnut Grove, Chris has built trust and a positive school culture among of staff, students and community,” said Interim Superintendent Jim Hansen. “We are proud to have a leader like Connor as part of our district and the Walnut Grove community.”

Before leading Walnut Grove as Interim Principal, Connor served as Vice Principal at Fairlands, Mohr, and Vintage Hills Elementary Schools. Connor also has 11 years of experience as an elementary school teacher. Originally from Scotland, Connor taught 1st and 6th grade for four years in the United Kingdom before moving to the U.S. Connor spent a year at Portola Elementary

School in Livermore before teaching K­6 at RAAMP Charter School in Antioch, California. He started at PUSD as a K­1 teacher at Fairlands Elementary School. Connor will begin serving as Principal of Walnut Grove Elementary officially on July 1, 2016.
