Missing Juvenile Located In Pleasanton

Police conducted an extensive drone search of the city to locate a juvenile reported missing last week.

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police coordinated with the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department to locate a missing juvenile.

On Tuesday just before 6 p.m., the Pleasanton Police Department received a call regarding a missing, at-risk juvenile last seen around 2 p.m. near Foothill Road and Santos Ranch Road, police said.

Officers established a command post at the trailhead based on information provided by the reporting party. East Bay Regional Park District police deployed drones to support the search efforts. Police say they conducted an extensive search of the west and south areas of Pleasanton.

Ultimately, park district police used drone footage to locate the juvenile at the top of the ridge just south of the Castle Ridge Trailhead. The juvenile was safely contacted and reunited with family.
