Mobile Gourmet Food Trucks Coming Back to the Fairgrounds

Winter food truck festival will go from 4-8:30 p.m. Feb. 18.

Pleasanton has become the go-to spot for gourmet food trucks, having hosted a wildly successful food truck festival this fall with everything from lobster shacks to noodle huts.

Mobile Gourmet co-founder Jill Horn said they'll have have many trucks in an effort to shorten the lines and increase the variety in a spot at the fairgrounds called the Court of 4.

There will be food trucks in a paved area, a beverage tent, as well as seating both indoors and outdoors, with live music playing.

Pleasanton's own That's Sweet Bakery will be serving up cupcakes, mini pies and other bakery delights.

Little Green Cyclo, winner of the Eater's Choice Award, will be serving their garlic noodles, spring rolls and sweet potato tater tots.  

Sanguchon, whose sister restaurant is Michelin rated, will be serving Peruvian food — Lomo Saltado, curry vegetable wraps and other delicacies. Chairman Bao, Curry Up Now! and other favorites will also be on hand.

There will be a sushi truck, as well as Kara's Cupcakes, Grill Stars, Nom Nom, The Shackmobile (with their famous lobster), Twister Truck and Golden Waffle.

Also, Stitches and Dishes will be giving away a Nintendo Wii Console bundle package, including Super Mario Bros 3, the Food Network’s Cook or Be Cooked, Order Up! and a Wii Cooking Set in a free drawing.
