Motorcyclist Injured During Pleasanton Crash
The motorcyclist was ejected from his bike after allegedly fleeing from an officer who was trying to stop him for speeding.

PLEASANTON, CA — A motorcyclist who was fleeing from police was injured Sunday afternoon when he crashed into the back of a car near the intersection of Stoneridge and Hacienda drives in Pleasanton, police said. An officer was trying to stop the motorcyclist after he was allegedly speeding on eastbound Stoneridge Drive.
Police said the motorcyclist was ejected from his bike during the collision and was taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was injured during the crash.
Police said it is not yet known if drugs or alcohol are factors in the collision. The motorcyclist's name was not released.

The collision prompted police to close the busy intersection for several hours Sunday afternoon. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call the Pleasanton Police Department at (925) 931-5100.
