Tri-Valley Coronavirus Testing Site: More Tests, New Hours

Residents of Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore are eligible for testing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekdays. More tests are now available.

PLEASANTON, CA — Officials have ramped up testing and implemented new hours at the drive-thru Alameda County Fairgrounds testing site for Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore residents experiencing a symptom associated with the new coronavirus.

Testing is available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays. Officials can now administer 1,200 tests — up from 750 — per week, according to the City of Pleasanton.

No appointments are necessary and there will be no out-of-pocket costs or cash pay fees, but all insurances will be accepted and billed, according to site operator Stanford Health Care — ValleyCare.

Appointments and physician orders are not needed, but residents must identify with one of the following items:

  • Fever above 100 degrees
  • Shortness of breath or other respiratory symptoms
  • Recent exposure to confirmed or suspected coronavirus
  • Chronic diseases/conditions such as: blood disorders; kidney or liver disease; diabetes, heart, lung or neurological disease; and compromised immune system
  • Older than 65 years
  • Homeless
  • Pregnant or recently pregnant

Patients must be at least 10 years old, and provide a phone number or email to receive results or additional information, organizers say.

Enter through gate 12 of the fairgrounds to find the testing site.

Results will be available within 72 hours.
