New Pleasanton Sports Bar Opens, With Restaurant, Private Suites, & Patio On The Way

PLEASANTON, CA — It’s not often you can play Xbox, make a Zoom call or play golf while eating Michelin-level food, but that’s now possible in Pleasanton.

The Sabio Hospitality Group, which operates Sabio on Main in Pleasanton and several other East Bay restaurants, recently opened Pivot Craft Kitchen & Sports Bar, a sports bar that offers TVs, outdoor patios, and deluxe suites. The restaurant, located in a roughly 10,000-square-foot space at 5121 Hopyard Road, recently opened its bar, which offers a diverse wine, beer, and cocktail list, and live games broadcast on big screens.

In around six to eight weeks, the restaurant will open four private suites, which can accommodate up to 15 people, and will feature big screen TVs with WiF and AV capabilities suitable for parties and meetings. It also offers two Topgolf Swing Suites that can hold up to 75 people and offer sports simulators for golf, football, soccer, and more.

“Pivot is specifically designed to support sporting events and group get-togethers. We are a gathering place with four private suites that can accommodate up to 15 people (phase 2 will be completed soon) and a Topgolf Swing Suite experience upstairs that can accommodate up to 75,” Marketing Director Beth Crotty told Patch.

In around six to eight weeks, Pivot will open its main dining room, which will offer a menu of elevated sports bar fare developed by Sabio on Main Manager and five-time Michelin Guide-recognized Chef Francis X. Hogan. It will offer sports bar staples like nachos, wings, burgers, chicken and cheesesteak sandwiches, and a dessert menu of bread pudding, chocolate cake, and fried apple pie.

Soon, guests will be able to enjoy this food on an outdoor patio roughly as large as the main dining room, which will boast five fireplaces and over 100 seats.
