Northbound I-680 Weekend Closure Canceled
The northbound section of I-680 in Pleasanton and Sunol will no longer be closed Friday until Monday due to rain.

PLEASANTON, CA - Caltrans has canceled a scheduled closure of northbound I-680 between Sunol and Pleasanton this weekend due to forecasted rain.
The section between Route 84 and Bernal Avenue was scheduled to close for repaving work from Friday evening until Monday morning. However, 0.01 inches of rain are expected Saturday in Sunol, and 0.22 inches of rain over three hours are expected Sunday.
The freeway is still planned to close for three consecutive weekends (which happened after the closure was canceled during MLK weekend due to heavy rain.) The northbound direction of I-680 between Koopman Road and Sunol Boulevard will now be closed:

- Friday, Feb. 10 at 10 p.m. until Monday, Feb. 13 at 5 a.m.
- Friday, Feb. 17 at 10 p.m. through Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 5 a.m.
The freeway will be closed in the northbound direction between Sunol Boulevard and Bernal Avenue on the following dates:
- Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 p.m. through Monday, Feb. 27 at 5 a.m.
The closures are due to a larger repaving project along northbound 680 between Sunol and San Ramon.

Closures are also planned on different parts of the freeway during Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
