Pleasanton Sigalert Continues For I-680 Tractor Trailer Crash
A traffic alert has been issued after a tractor trailer overturned on southbound I-680, south of Bernal Avenue in Pleasanton.

PLEASANTON, CA — As Friday evening rush hour traffic crawls, crash wreckage from an early morning overturned tractor-trailer on southbound I-680, south of Bernal Avenue, in Pleasanton is still causing havoc for commuters and a Sigalert remains in place. More than 12 hours after the crash, traffic is backed up to the 580/Dublin Interchange, and the California Highway Patrol is advising motorists to take alternate routes as traffic delays continue into Friday evening. The crash was reported around 2:40 a.m. Friday morning, and CHP warned that lane closures and delays would continue into the afternoon as crews worked to remove the wreckage. At 9:30 a.m., a Sigalert was issued and as of 4:30 p.m. it remained in place with no ETA on lifting it.
Minor injuries were reported in the crash; the cause remains under investigation.
