PLEASANTON, CA — Taking a walk through Pleasanton these days just got more interesting – and colorful. And it's all thanks to a new trend that is taking the community by storm. Painted rock hunting. Nationally, it's popped up in hundreds of communities over the last several months. It is all the rage in nearby Livermore.
Residents have reported finding the adorable treasures in Vintage Hills Park, Amaral Park, Delucchi Park, Tawny Park, and near J. W. Kottinger’s Barn downtown. Those who find rocks usually hide them after taking a photo with the rock and posting about the discovery on social media.
