PLEASANTON, CA — The parents of a missing 19-year-old Bay Area woman who previously lived in Pleasanton have asked anyone with information about their daughter to come forward.

Sydney "Syd" West was until recently a University of California, Berkeley student and lived with friends in San Francisco, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina — the area where West previously lived with her family. She has not been seen or heard from since the early morning hours before dawn Sept. 29, when she was spotted near the Golden Gate Bridge at Crissy Field in San Francisco.

"We love Sydney, we miss Sydney, and we want more than anything to have her found safe and brought back to our home," her father said in a recent video posted to the Orange County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
