Person Killed On BART Tracks Wednesday Morning

PLEASANTON, CA — A person was struck and killed on the BART tracks in the Dublin/Pleasanton area Wednesday morning. The victim's name and why they were on the tracks are not known at this time.

All service was stopped for a short time and one station was closed, prompting a bus bridge between the Dublin/Pleasanton and West Dublin/Pleasanton stations.

BART reports that the station has reopened and service has returned to normal.

Police are conducting an investigation into the death.
