Photos: Pleasanton Celebrates Centennial, Forkful
Enjoy some photos from a jam-packed weekend.
PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton had a fun-filled weekend celebrating its cuisine and the centennial of Amador Valley High School.
Friday’s Amador Valley Centennial Parade had a total of 28 entries, 176 adults, 582 students (including 260 in the marching band), and 23 volunteers, according to volunteer Tom Medina. Marchers included Mavis Fiorio Williams, a member of AVHS’s class of 1944 who at 97 is the school’s oldest known alumnus.
Crowds packed in to watch the Pigskin festival (which had over 82 booths, according to volunteer Dave Jagoe), and football game, and over 400 guests attended the Centennial Pancake Breakfast, according to parent volunteer Soojin Hwang.

At Forkful, roughly 400 guests enjoyed samples from 12 participating downtown Pleasanton restaurants, according to Pleasanton Downtown Association Events Manager Gabrielle Welk.
