Photo(s) of the Week: Let's Talk Turkey
These good-looking birds have been spending their time out on the town.
Thanksgiving may be the day when roughly 46 million turkeys are consumed in the United States, but that does not seem to scare away these local wild turkeys. Residents shared photos of the big birds strutting their stuff all over the Easy Bay.
According to Wikipedia, the “gobbling” sound is most often made by the males. It is more common for the hens to cluck. Wild turkeys can be found in 49 states, according to the Connecticut DEEC.
