Pleasanton Appoints New Deputy City Manager
Alexa Jeffress has more than 20 years experience in government administration and community development, including work for HUD.

PLEASANTON, CA — Alexa Jeffress will serve as the new deputy city manager of Pleasanton, the city announced. She will start Feb. 6.
Jeffress has more than 20 years experience in government administration and community development. Most recently, she served as the director of the city of Oakland’s Economic and Workforce Development Department, where she directed staff in six divisions, including Public/Private Development, Real Estate, Cultural Affairs, Workforce Development, Business Development and Special Activities.
Jeffress previously served as the West Region Director of Multifamily Asset Management for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and as the vice president of real estate development for BRIDGE Housing.

Jeffress holds a B.A. from Columbia University and J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of Law. She is a member of the California State Bar.
