Pleasanton Bank Robbed By Man With Gun: PPD

Police say a masked suspect took an undisclosed amount of money at a Bank of the West on Sunol Boulevard Thursday.

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police are investigating a robbery that took place at the Bank of the West at 5452 Sunol Boulevard Thursday.

An unknown suspect wearing a sweatshirt, a facemask, and gloves entered the bank at 12:24 p.m. and handed the teller a note saying that he had a gun and demanding money, Pleasanton Police Department Sgt. Marty Billdt said in a statement. The teller then gave the suspect an unknown amount of money. After receiving the money, the suspect left the bank in an unknown direction.

The incident is under active investigation, and the Pleasanton Police Department said Monday they are not releasing more information.
