Pleasanton Begins Valley Avenue Safety Improvements

Pleasanton is placing green bollards at the intersection of Valley Avenue and Paseo Santa Cruz as the first phase of improvements.

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton is placing green bollards at the intersection of Valley Avenue and Paseo Santa Cruz as the first phase of improvements along Valley Avenue. The city will keep them there through September, and collect and monitor modifications to traffic.

The data will be used to inform a larger program to increase pedestrian visibility by creating a smaller intersection crossing, and to reduce the number of stop sign violations. Final recommendations will be given to the city on Oct. 15.
