Pleasanton Celebrating Earth Day With Tree Giveaways, Clothing Swap, & More
The city's Earth and Arbor Day Festival will feature a community expo, games, giveaways, and tips for living a sustainable lifestyle.
PLEASANTON, CA â Pleasanton will celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day with a community expo, tree giveaway, clothing swap, vendor booths, games, a blender bike, and a variety of family-friendly experiences.
This year's event, entitled "Every Day is Earth Day," will take place April 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pleasanton Library and Civic Center. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities designed to promote every-day sustainable living.
On-Site Shredding:

- Limit: 4 boxes per vehicle
Clothing Swap:
Bring clothing items to the library and collect swap tickets. More information here.

Local organizations will be on-site to give practical tips on conservation, including:

- Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department

Tree Giveaway:
The city is hosting a free tree giveaway for Pleasanton residents. A limited number of 5-gallon trees are available, and advance registration is required.
Free Mattress Drop-Off:
The Bye Bye Mattress program will recycle up to 75% of used mattresses for products like carpet padding, recycled metal goods, and mulch.
Pleasanton residents can drop their mattresses off for free at the Pleasanton Transfer Station on 3110 Busch Road from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. See here for more information and requirements.
