Pleasanton Chamber Announces Honorees Community Service Awards

From the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce: The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce will recognize those deserving individuals, groups and businesses who have demonstrated excellence and community leadership in business, volunteer activities and achievement within the Pleasanton community on Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Firehouse Arts Center.

The Community Service Awards began in 1963 to recognize good people doing great things in the community and since then hundreds of recipients have been honored.

The honorees for the 56th Annual Community Service Awards are:

Business Philanthropy

BLACK TIE TRANSPORATION and OMNI FIGHT CLUB

For businesses that have provided philanthropic service beyond the scope of normal business activity.

Excellence in Business

OGDEN COSTA CREATIVE GROUP

For businesses that have made a positive impact in the Pleasanton community through their achievement within the scope of normal business activity.

Distinguished Individual Service

JOE CARLUCCI and SUSAN HAYES

For individuals who have contributed to Pleasanton through exceptional service to the community or philanthropic efforts.

Excellence in Service

SUNFLOWER HILL

For organizations that have contributed to Pleasanton.

Green Business

SABIO ON MAIN

For businesses that promote sustainable environmental business practices throughout their organization for the benefit of employees, customers or the community.

Lifetime Achievement

TED C. FAIRFIELD

For individuals who have contributed to Pleasanton through exceptional service to the community or philanthropic efforts over the whole of a career.

The Chamber is also pleased to announce a new award for this annual event, the Chevron Fuel Your School Teacher Award. Chevron has partnered with the Chamber and will be presenting an award focused on education to a teacher in the Pleasanton Unified School District. Chevron’s Fuel Your School program is available to help fund classroom projects posted by K-12 public school teachers on DonorsChoose.org. The Fuel Your School program is part of Chevron’s overall support for education, which has totaled over $400 million worldwide since 2013, helping to provide teachers with the tools to prepare students for the jobs of the future.

This event, sponsored by the Alameda County Fair, Chevron, Golden 1 Credit Union and Stanford Health Care-Valley Care, will celebrate amazing people who go the extra mile to make Pleasanton a fabulous place to live and do business. The public is invited to attend this fun-filled evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a hosted bar and heavy hors' doeuvres as well as a silent auction followed by the awards presentation. Cost to attend is $35 per person and tickets are on sale now at www.pleasanton.org.
