Pleasanton City Council Recognized 224 Companies For Longstanding

The Council presented each of the businesses with a special recognition to commemorate its tenure in Pleasanton.

From The City of Pleasanton:The Pleasanton City Council recognized 224 local companies for achieving 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 50 years of business in Pleasanton at a presentation at the City Council meeting on November 7, 2017. The Council presented each of the businesses with a special recognition to commemorate its tenure in Pleasanton.

“Pleasanton’s quality of life is closely tied to the economic vitality of our business community, and we are honored to publicly recognize these businesses’ milestones,” noted Director of Economic Development Pamela Ott. “Our city is home to thriving businesses of all sizes and types, from startups to Fortune 500 firms; this diversity is what makes Pleasanton’s business community as robust as it is. These companies have provided jobs, services and products valued by our residents and other businesses, and we want to recognize and appreciate these businesses for their commitment to Pleasanton.”

The City Council also proclaimed November 25, 2017, as Small Business Saturday in Pleasanton. Observed on the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year, Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting the small businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country during one of the busiest shopping times of the year. In Pleasanton, small businesses having between 1 and 150 employees provide more than 32,000 jobs.

The City is joined by Pleasanton Downtown Association, Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce, Hacienda and Visit Tri-Valley in encouraging the community to consider shopping “small” this holiday season and throughout the year.
