Pleasanton Fundraiser To Help Rebuild Fire-Ravaged School

Those interested in helping may also bid online for a shot at winning an autographed baseball bat and jersey.

PLEASANTON, CA — A fundraiser in Pleasanton this week will help rebuild the playground and greenhouse at Shasta Elementary School, which was damaged by the Carr Fire. Organizer and Pleasanton resident Sandy Schneider said the California Pizza Kitchen in Pleasanton will host the event on Oct. 11 from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Schneider said 20 percent of the proceeds from the dinner will be donated to the school for the repairs.

Those interested in helping may also bid online for a shot at winning an autographed baseball bat signed by San Francisco Giants player and Pleasanton native Brandon Crawford or an official Golden State Warriors jersey signed by Kay Thompson.

In August, Schneider delivered donations she collected from the community to wildfire victims in Shasta County. The Carr Fire, which broke out on July 23, burned 229,651 acres. Those who cannot attend the fundraiser but would like to donate can click here. Place your online bids here and here.
