Pleasanton Hacienda Business Park Signs Get New Look
The signs have gotten some mixed reviews since their debut.
PLEASANTON, CA â The street signs in the Hacienda Business Park have recently debuted with a new look. About 150 signs surrounding the park have been refurbished in an effort to keep the area looking fresh and updated, according to Hacienda Business Park General Manager James Paxson.
The signs, which were burgundy before, are now a gold color. Paxson said the earth tone on the signage has been part of Haciendaâs look for many years.
âSome love the [new] sign color, some did not like the burgundy,â Paxson told Patch.

However, not everyone in the community likes the look of the signs. Paxson said there have been some who say the lettering makes the sign difficult to read.
âBased on some of those comments, we may change the contrast of the lettering,â Paxson said. âWe feel like itâs important to make sure the park always looks good. We are excited about all of the changes.â

The sign updates, which are maintained by the business park, were approved by the city officials.
âHacienda is in the process of rebranding the neighborhood and business park, and they chose the mustard color,â city spokesperson Tracy Dunne said. âThe General Manager of Hacienda approached the City with a proposal for new directional signs. Staff reviewed the signs and authorized their installation. Since then the signs have received mixed reviews. Staff is currently working with Hacienda to improve the contrast of the signs.â
